Established mechanical equipment contractor is looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to fill the role of Office Manager/Controller to handle the day to day accounting operations. Primary responsibility will be day-to-day accounting functions and payroll. Candidates should have strong bookkeeping experience and be proficient with accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel and Word programs. Other responsibilities will include preparation of financial statements, participating in the project bid process, handling the benefit programs, and budgeting. This position reports directly to the owner of the company.
Candidate should be an extremely organized individual with a great work ethic willing to put in extra hours to get the job done if necessary. It is essential that this position has great interpersonal skills, can work with others in a team environment, and can be relied upon to finish tasks on time. Experience with Sage accounting products and knowledge of the construction industry would be preferred.
