10 Pfennig 1919 "Type 1917-1922" (Germany, German Empire)
At the beginning of the First World War in 1914, the German economy switched to paper money; the gold standard was abolished. Gold and silver coins remained in circulation. But by 1917, a large part of the coins in circulation had disappeared. The population even hoarded the small copper coins, not to mention those made of silver or gold. From 1916 onwards, coins made of iron, aluminium and zinc were issued.
1 Reichspfennig 1945
Allied Occupation - POST WORLD WAR II
The 1 Reichspfennig coin minted in 1945 is a significant piece of German history, representing a period of economic hardship and the Nazi regime's currency policy. The coin is made entirely of zinc and is an emergency issue type, similar to other Reichspfennig coins minted during the same period. For collectors, the 1945 Reichspfennig coin is a rare find, and its value may increase with time due to its historical significance and collectible status.
