Elegant Vintage Sicilian Sfilato Drawn Thread Embroidery Linen White Tablecloth with 11 Napkins EXCELLENT.
Sfilato in mosiac scrolls with a Gigliuccio frame on the tablecloth and napkins are the ancient embroidery styles I was able to identify utilized in the pieces.
The tablecloth measures app. 66x 104". The napkins measure app. 20 x 20".
It is possible it has never been used. It feels very substantial.
I am selling my 97 year old Sicilian Aunt's trousseau from Italy, mostly Sfilato from Sicily. About 100 pounds worth. She married in the 1940s. Going through the trousseau items was like opening a time capsule.
I have examined the table cloth and napkins carefully and found 2 gold spots on the tablecloth, but no other damage. Freshly laundered without bleach. They are linen.
Please review the fotos and decide for yourself what a fabulous addition this will make for your holiday table or as a memorable gift!!
