This is a nice antique red and gold painted cast iron coffee grinder. I do not know a lot about these but from my research learned the following:

VINTAGE 2-WHEELED
#8 ELMA COFFEE MILL OR GRINDER
CAST IRON
WORKING CONDITION
The main body of this mill is solid cast iron. The drawer, wheel handles and base are solid wood and all parts appear to be original. The wheels turn freely and seem to be in good working condition. The grinder stands 28.5 inches high and 22 inches wide (from handle to handle). Wheel diameter is 16 inches. Seems it was made in Spain and has ELMA written inside cavity of grinder as well as the logos on all four corners.

"The History of ELMA The Echevarria brothers Gregory and Eugenio along with Cerrajera Leibar, Francisco Mendizabal, and Daniel Arcauz were all union workers for the Unión Cerrajera de Mondragón and the largest employer in La villa de Mondragón in the Basque region of Spain. They along with a few other friends and financiers formed a new company called ELMA S.A. founded in Arrasate, Spain in 1924 to produce meat choppers, ice cream makers, hand tools and coffee grinders. The company started with around 50 employees and employed up to 1000 workers during the prewar 1930's. The 1940's brought a time of unrest for the company, a hard time for the Basque region and all of Spain shaken by repression and turmoil at the hands of the Franco régime. The original company was either taken over or sold in the 1940's. The original ELMA S.A. office buildings survived the war and modern development and is now a historic landmark. Due to the short time of ELMA S.A. prewar coffee grinder production the original vintage ELMA coffee grinders are highly valued by collectors."
