We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator with a strong work ethic and great outlook to help take us to the next stage of development. Key Responsibilities
• Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice
• Maintain the schedule for accuracy
• Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism
• Manage Patient and Records Management
• Check in patients and verify and update patient information to include insurance
• Manage recall and inactive patient system
• Confirm appointments according to protocol and patient preferences
• Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time
• Utilize patient unscheduled quick-fill list to try to fill in cancellation and no-show appointment times
• Assume over-the-counter collections at the time of treatment
• Make follow-up appointments as needed
• Prepare financial treatment plans and present plan options to patient at end of their appointment
• Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits
• Prepare and submit dental claims with appropriate radiographs or narratives as directed by the Dentist
• Mail or electronically submit claim forms from office
• Sort, organize, and distribute USPS mail
• Post checks received each day
• Accounts Receivable Management
• Prepare bank deposits
• Prepare billing statements
• Follow-up with aging insurance claims and delinquent accounts
• Prepare collections correspondence for overdue accounts
• Assist doctor chairside if needed


Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures
• Knowledge of Dentrix preferred
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Programs
• X-Ray certified in Maryland preferred
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Professional manner and appearance at all times

Qualifications
• High school diploma
• 2 years dental office experience desired
