Offered for sale is my 1989 Honda Transalp XL600V. A rare opportunity to own this fantastic motorcycle! It is in good operational condition, and possibly one of the cleanest examples in the states. These Transalps seldom come up for sale.
I purchased this bike in October of 2017 from Kissel Motorsports of PA. It was part of the dealership owner’s personal collection that he was liquidating - the dealership was in the process of moving to a new facility. The motorcycle was well maintained mechanically, serviced and operated regularly, and currently shows 24,202 miles on the odometer - approximately 1000 of which were added by me in the past two years.
It has been an outstanding bike!
Just as good on highways as it is on backroads and unpaved trails. Starts every time and runs like a sewing machine! A real testament to Honda engineering.
Accessories include GIVI rack and removable cases (awesome and super easy to put on/ take off), a soft top case, crash bars and PIAA fog lights (fog lights are not currently wired in - I have the included wiring. PIAA protective grills are also included - not shown).
All body panels are intacked and in excellent condition. There are a few minor nicks and scuffs as should be expected with any bike of this vintage, however they are hardly noticeable with the original metallic white finish!
The original Honda Transalp decals are present, and there is a scratched portion shown in the pictures (the scratch is only in the sticker, and did not pass through the paint). Never dropped under my ownership, no signs of it ever having been.
The rims and hubs are in excellent condition. Tires are great, about 85% tread left!
The seat has no tears or cracks, and is BY FAR, the most comfortable motorcycle seat I’ve ever ridden on! Lights, signals, gauges, work flawlessly. Brakes in fine working order. Engine purrs. Original factory exhaust has no issues. It’s a Honda after all!
I am reluctantly selling because I bought a Ducati 996, and I just don’t have time to ride both bikes the way they should be ridden- believe me, I’ve tried to ride them both over the past 4 months...just not possible with my hectic schedule.
The Transalp has always been garage kept inside a fresh air circulated car bubble for added protection, as I have done with all my bikes (seen in the background of pictures). It is always kept on a trickle charger.
I’ve tried to list everything so no surprises. Again, this is a fantastic Adv bike for $3,800 obo!
