This is the 1985 SG Standard that belonged to David Utter the guitar player for Face Dancer. David made some personal modifications to suit his needs. There is a additional volume pot added just below the string. He would curl his little finger around that pot. There is also a additional toggle switch added, I believe to split the bridge position pickup. The guitar originally had a Bigsby tailpiece that David removed, and installed a stock tailpiece. Aside from that, there is a hole where I believe he once had another strap button. It has a strap lock on the guitar as well. It also includes a Gibson nicknamed Chain Saw guitar case. There are a few blemishes, but overall it is in very good shape for it's age. I had a friend of mine who is left handed check it out and he said the action is great on this guitar, and the neck is in great shape. I personally jammed with David many times when he played this guitar, and it has a killer tone. So this is your chance to purchase a little piece of local history.
