Office Equipment IT Service Technician (FREDERICK)

Job Description
Desired Qualifications:
Must be technically astute, motivated, independent, organized, have a strong work ethic, enjoy working with high tech hardware and software, be a problem solver, enjoy the challenge of “fixing what is broken” and have excellent communication skills.
Applicable electronics certifications (Associates Degree in Electronics) a plus but not required.
Applicable networking certifications (CompTIA, Associates Degree in IT) a plus but not required.
Prior technical repair/networking experience and a stable job history (no more than 3 jobs in the past 5 years).
Solid customer service skills essential.
Good mechanical, electrical and PC skills a must.
A neat appearance, as well as good oral communication skills required.
Training/experience with office equipment is a plus. (Training is provided through Sharp and Xerox)
A self-starter who is career minded and motivated to advance to higher engineer levels.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation to work with current registration
Valid drivers license, an excellent driving record, insurance.
Daily local (Baltimore/Washington area) travel.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Satisfactory drug screen, credit check and comprehensive background check.
Entry-level IT Service Technician will assist senior IT Technicians as needed. Primary areas of responsibility fall into two general categories: internal support and external customer support.
Examples of internal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in management and oversight of all facilities and office equipment related matters to include all implementation, organization, troubleshooting and repair of all company hardware.
Assist in assembling new equipment orders.
Examples of external responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist and take installations, technical hardware service calls and IT service calls on all company contracted in-field multifunctional copiers, printers and scanners. Must provide and manage paperwork as required.
