Free Trees for your Stream (Frederick And Washington Counties)

We are a local nonprofit that plants trees next to streams in Frederick County. Our funding comes from grants and the trees are completely paid for. We even maintain them for three years to ensure their success free of charge to you. Currently, we are looking for more sites to plant trees on. Our “must have” requirements are that the property needs to have a minimum of 1 acre to plant (maximum is 50 acres), the site needs to be next to a stream and must be in Frederick County or Washington County. We have won several awards for our tree plantings throughout the years. Check out our website-

Tree species we plant: sycamore, silver maple, red maple, red oak, swamp oak, white oak, black walnut, black locust, honey locust, redbud, river birch, hackberry, magnolia, hawthorne, paw paw, serviceberry, linden, poplar and others. Shrubs that we plant include: buttonbush, elderberry, silky dogwood, arrowwood. All of our species are high in wildlife value and we give the landowner flexibility on which species they would like to have planted.

Here’s a video about what we do.
