We are looking for a reliable and motivated Meat & Frozen Department Associate to join our team at Nelia African Market, a growing African & Caribbean grocery store serving the Frederick community.
Responsibilities:
Cut, trim, and prepare meat products (beef, goat, chicken, fish)
Portion meat for sale and customer requests
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of meat area
Properly store and label products
Assist customers with meat selection and custom cuts
Receive and organize meat deliveries
Manage and maintain the frozen department (meat, fish, and frozen products)
Stock and display frozen vegetables and other frozen items
Monitor inventory and ensure products are properly rotated and stored
Schedule:
Full-time or Part-time available
Must be available evenings and weekends
Requirements:
Basic meat handling or cutting experience preferred (training provided)
Ability to manage and organize frozen inventory
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (heavier items handled with assistance)
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
