Job Description:
We are a state-licensed cannabis facility located in Frederick, Maryland, looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized Cannabis Compliance Manager Intern. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for an individual looking to break into the regulated cannabis industry and learn the ins and outs of commercial supply chain compliance, inventory tracking, and state regulations from the ground up.
The intern will work directly in our secure warehouse facility, assisting operations to ensure 100% compliance with Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) and COMAR regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily data entry, manifest audits, and inventory tracking in the state-mandated tracking system (Metrc).
Learn and apply Maryland packaging and labeling requirements to ensure all outgoing wholesale shipments are compliant.
Conduct routine internal audits of warehouse inventory, batch logs, and facility visitor records.
Help monitor and document facility safety, security protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist the management team with general administrative warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older (Strict Maryland state law requirement for all facility staff).
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check required by state regulations.
High school diploma required; current college students or recent grads in Business, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or Agriculture are encouraged to apply.
Incredible attention to detail—minor errors in data entry can impact legal compliance.
Strong written communication and basic computer/spreadsheet skills.
Ability to stand, walk, and work in a secure commercial warehouse environment.
