Very nice home with kind and very active live-in landlady/owner, fully furnished, shared modern kitchen and laundry with new appliances, folding and hanging stations, modern bathrooms, very convenient location, fiber internet all included. The home is well maintained and everything works. Anything that needs repair is addressed as soon as possible.
The neighborhood is bounded by Ft. Detrick, Route 15, 7th Street and Rosemont Avenue and is just blocks from Frederick Shopping Center with Giant Eagle grocery store and many other shops and cafes. Very close to Baker Park, one of the stars of Frederick's wonderful features. The location is .8 miles from Hood College and .9 miles from Frederick Health Hospital in the College Estates neighborhood near Ft. Detrick. And minutes from malls and shopping centers houses of worship of various faiths, beautiful shops and restaurants downtown and lots of beauty and history.
Rent if due on the first, prorated if moving in after the first.
The landlady and two other tenants reside in the home. All residents cooperate in use of common areas by: leaving pots, dishes etc. stovetop and other appliances, sink and countertop clean after eating, wiping any spills on the floors or in the fridge immediately, cleaning the upstairs toilet, bathtub, floor and sink countertop every other week, vacuuming once a month. If you don't have time to wash up by hand, please use the dishwasher after rinsing the dishes. Pans have to be scrubbed by hand and should be just as shiny after use as before. Quiet hours are by agreement. Currently there are two tenants on early schedules so we try not to wake them during sleeping time. Honor system to be considerate.
Twelve month lease - $700 per month, 6-12 months $725 per month, 1-5 months $750 per month.
Application asks for a credit report, method of funding (job, parents, savings etc. and prior roommate references . The processing fee is $20 applicable to tenancy with signed lease and deposit. Sign a lease, pay the deposit move in with clothes, linens, laptop etc. The lease is a contract that defines the terms and responsibilities of landlady and tenants.
Security deposit is $700 and fully refundable less any damages or cleaning left undone on move out.
Owner/Landlady has rented rooms to students and people in their careers for over 20 years. All are welcome.
No smokers or smoking anywhere on the premises, apologies, but no pets.
